Ministries to Our Community

No parish family can be spiritually healthy until they decide that their most important ministry is to work toward the transformation of the local community. An important question is: "If Grace Church were to close, would anyone in Sheboygan notice?" At Grace Church, we believe that it is important to help God's people find opportunities for service in the local community. Here you will find a few of those ministries for which we offer prayer support in addition to our time and donations.

Love Inc.of Sheboygan County
Love In the Name of Christ is a partnership of local churches working together, across denominational lines, to serve people in need in their community. Existing resources operating independently are not adequate to meet current and growing levels of need. In addition, one church alone cannot deal with all the complex issues of poverty. It takes churches working together, across denominational lines, to meet these multifaceted needs. Furthermore, Love INC can do what the others can't. Agencies, charities and government can provide a safety net to help those in need, but it can't Love and bring transformation like Love In the Name of Christ can.

Sheboygan County Interfaith Organization (SCIO)
Sheboygan County Interfaith Organization (SCIO), founded for the purpose of providing programs for people who have fallen through the cracks of society, is a faith-based organization comprised of over 30 different faith communities. Volunteers and staff work together in an environment of mutual respect for each other's beliefs to provide for the common good of those we serve.
Theological differences do not interfere with the important work that needs to be done. We focus on our shared values rather than on our differences. We believe it is our calling to lift up those that struggle to help themselves. Our programs offer a "hand up" rather than a hand-out. We truly do bridge the gap between community needs and resources
