What is the bible? Where does it come from? Is there a best translation? These questions and more as we prepare for the Bible Challenge - a way to read the entire Bible in 1 year with guides and teaching along the way.

For all of December we will be exploring the Bible in its pieces, exploring the text in large brush strokes. Because beginning Monday, January 4th, 2016 we will begin a weekly podcast for The Bible Challenge. A year long dive into the Bible. By the end of it, you will have read the entire Bible, all in 1 year.

Bible Challenge Introduction Schedule:

  • Week i: What is the Bible, and how did it become the Bible as we know it.
  • Week ii: The Law. The Pentateuch. The first 5 books of the Old Testament. Themes and literary styles.
  • Week iii: The Prophets and the Writings. The rest of the Old Testament. Themes and literary styles, and why does the Old Testament seems to foreign
  • Week iv: The Gospels. The first 4 books of the New Testament. Why are there 4 gospels, do they agree or disagree with each other? Why Old and New Testament? What is a testament? Themes and literary styles
  • Week v: The letters and the rest of the New Testament. Who wrote the letters?
